General

What is PW Booking?

PW Booking is a free booking system for WordPress. Your clients book appointments directly on your own website, and you manage services, opening hours, clients and bookings inside WordPress.

What is the difference between PW Booking and PW Booking Pro?

The free version is for appointment booking at hair salons, therapists and clinics. PW Booking Pro is an add-on for studios with classes. It adds a class schedule, waiting list, class passes and memberships, courses and workshops, online payment, a client page, a price list, instructor access, reports and SMS reminders.

Who is it made for?

Hair salons, barbershops, massage therapists, other therapists and small clinics can use the free version. Yoga, Pilates and fitness studios with classes need Pro.

Does my website need to be built with WordPress?

Yes. Both plugins require WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. They work with most themes and with Elementor.

Can I try it before I buy?

Yes. Try the booking on the demo pages on this site, e.g. for therapists or Pilates and yoga studios. You can install the free version and try it on your own website.

Pricing and purchase

How much does it cost?

PW Booking is free. PW Booking Pro costs DKK 1,196 excl. VAT for one website for the first year, then DKK 796 excl. VAT a year. VAT is added at checkout depending on your country. There are no monthly fees and no fee per booking. If you want us to set it up and move your data from your old system, Pro + setup costs DKK 3,196 excl. VAT for the first year.

What happens when the licence expires?

The licence is a subscription that renews automatically for DKK 796 excl. VAT a year. You can cancel any time via the link in your receipt. If you cancel, the plugin keeps working, but you no longer get updates and support.

Can you set it up for me?

Yes. Pretty Websites can set up booking, the class schedule, class passes and payments on your website, move your classes and passes from your old system, e.g. YOGO, or build a new website with booking. Contact us for a quote.

Is there a right of withdrawal?

Consumers in the EU/EEA have a 14-day right of withdrawal, but it lapses once you have downloaded the plugin, if you agreed to this when buying. Business customers and customers outside the EU/EEA have no statutory right of withdrawal. See the terms of sale.

Bookings and clients

Do clients get a confirmation?

Yes. Clients get an email confirmation with a link to cancel. You get an email about new bookings.

Can clients cancel on their own?

Yes, via the link in the email up to the cancellation deadline you choose, e.g. 24 hours before. Bookings paid online are cancelled by you in agreement with the client.

Can I move my clients from Planway or another system?

Yes. Clients and services can be imported from a CSV file in the free version. Duplicates are merged, and personal ID numbers are not imported. With Pro you can also import classes, class passes and upcoming bookings.

Where is client data stored?

In your own WordPress database. The data is not sent to us or anyone else. You are the data controller and should mention the booking in your privacy policy.

Can I send SMS reminders?

Yes, with Pro. You connect your own GatewayAPI account and pay them directly per SMS. The reminder is sent automatically a set number of hours before the appointment.

Class schedule and passes (Pro)

Can I move classes, passes and bookings from YOGO, Zenamu or Gecko Booking?

Yes, with Pro. Under Booking → Import you can load a CSV file from your old system with classes, class passes and memberships (with classes left and expiry date) and upcoming class bookings. The plugin works out which columns are which, and you see a preview before anything is saved. If your system can’t export, you can fill in our Excel template.

I use YOGO – how do I bring my data?

YOGO has no export button, but as a studio you own your data and have the right to receive it. Write to YOGO support and ask for an Excel or CSV file with clients, active class passes and memberships (with classes left and expiry date) and upcoming bookings. The file can be loaded directly under Booking → Import. Choose Pro + setup and we handle it all: we request the data, move classes and passes and check that everything is correct.

What happens when a class is full?

Clients can join the waiting list. When someone cancels, the first person on the list gets the spot automatically and is notified by email and, if enabled, SMS.

How do class passes work?

You create class passes with a number of classes and a validity period. When a client books, one class is deducted, and if the client cancels in time, it is returned. You can also give clients a pass when they pay at the studio.

Do clients need a password?

No. Clients sign in to My page with their email and get a login link by email.

Can my instructors see attendee lists?

Yes. Give the instructor the Instructor role in WordPress. They will only see their own classes and can check attendees in.

Can I run courses and workshops?

Yes. A course is booked with all sessions at once for one total price, and a workshop is on a single date.

Payments (Pro)

How do clients pay?

Through Stripe by card, MobilePay, Apple Pay or Google Pay, depending on what you enable in your Stripe account. The money goes straight to you.

What do payments cost?

Stripe charges a fee per payment based on their own pricing. We take nothing from your payments.

Can clients buy class passes online?

Yes. Clients can buy class passes and memberships on My page or from the price list, and the pass is active right after payment.
